Course Overview:
Take a stroll downtown like never before! Join me, local Fairmont Artist, Caroline Porter on a walk around Downtown Plaza then join me for a drink at Fairmont Brewing Company (FBC). I'll lead a group of students on a walking tour where we make stops on the sidewalk along the way to urban sketch (paint/draw) preselected buildings, historical landmarks, and/or nature aspects around town. At the end of class, each stop/page will be bound together with twine to make an art journal keepsake of your experience. There will be a total of four pages: cover page, stop 1, stop 2, and stop 3.
We'll make two stops around downtown, then make our last stop at Fairmont Brewing Company where we'll paint and draw our last subject. One free drink at Fairmont Brewing Company is included with your ticket. Not in to alcohol or brought the kids? No worries! FBC has a variety of non-alcoholic drinks including NA beer and seltzer, water, sparkling waters (Poppi and Bubblr) and root beer.
