Sydney Max Adventure Race 2025

Suitable for anyone and everyone with a real sense of adventure, the Max Adventure Race Royal National Park is designed to offer the perfect introduction to the exhilarating sport of adventure racing.

Participants in a team of two must work together, using a map to navigate around course collecting checkpoints. Teams will swap between trail running, mountain biking, and kayaking; race times range from 3-6 hours.

There are various race options to suit all abilities. The Novice Course is ideal for those new to the sport; the Classic Course is for teams looking for a longer challenge.

The course itself is kept secret until the day of the race, only to be revealed at registration, when you will be issued with your race bag containing a map and course description instructions.

The Classic Course consists of approximately 15-25km of mountain biking, 5-10km of trail running and 2-4km of kayaking.

The Novice Course consists of approximately 5-15km of mountain biking, 3-5km of trail running and 1-2km of kayaking.
