Capturing the Light: Landscapes in Oil

Time: 9 am to 3 pm

Students will focus on capturing the effect of light in a landscape painting. Light controls the mood of a scene, using the correct values and color harmonies will lead to a successful painting that reflects the light of the day.

Students will paint from a photo reference Karen provides, creating a small sketch before moving to a larger piece as she teaches step by step process to finished painting.
