As most of you are aware, Sean Chaney was tragically taken from his family on June 29, 2025. He left behind not only a mother, father, grandmother, sister, niece, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles but, most importantly, a wonderful wife and two beautiful small children. He was a member of the Paradise Valley Sportsmans Club. Two days prior to his passing, we planned a 2-day event for the Paradise Valley Sportsman's Club to help raise money for the fishing derby. Then we heard the tragic news, and Stacy Watkoski and I talked with another family member and decided to donate to his family. That is the reason for it being a 2-day event. We will have Albrights food truck there both days. We are collecting as many baskets as we can, and all money will go to the family, along with memorial signs I am making, which can be purchased. We will have Door signs and other options for people to purchase to paint, and 40% of that will go toward the family. There will be other items for purchase with a percentage going to the family. The basket drawing will be approximately 4 pm on Sunday, so everyone has a chance. You do not have to be present to win; we will call you, but you must pick up in Fairhope or make arrangements with one of us to get it to you. Bring your family/friends; everyone is welcome. This is a small community, and although his family did not ask for help, everyone has pulled together and decided his wife and children deserve this. They have been through enough.
