Pediatric Stroke Awareness Event
At Little Patch of Heaven Sanctuary (LPOHS), our mission is to provide lifelong care and love to our rescued animals. Our work goes beyond the sanctuary as we believe in sharing the transformative power of animals and nature to heal and inspire.
One way we connect our mission with the world is by hosting numerous events to promote important causes in our community at the sanctuary - ultimately fundraising for the farm but other important causes as well.
Pediatric Stroke Awareness Event is an initiative dedicated to raising awareness for pediatric stroke, a cause that is close to our hearts.
This event is inspired by the incredible journey of Arianna Krowel, a pediatric stroke warrior and dedicated student and volunteer at LPOHS.
Through her resilience, Arianna has found healing and purpose in the company of our animals esepcially the bunnies. This event honors her story and brings attention to the impact of pediatric stroke on children and families, a cause often overlooked.
As part of this event, we also raise support for our Purple Ribbon Building, a special project designed to expand our sanctuary and provide a safe, nurturing space for our bunny residents. This building will house up to 30 bunnies and include an educational community space for programs, events, and support groups for pediatric stroke survivors and their families. The Purple Ribbon Building will be a symbol of connection and healing, offering a place of solace for both people with disabilities and animal lovers.
Through this event, we aim to increase awareness about pediatric stroke, raise funds for the continued construction of the Purple Ribbon Building, and create a lasting space where healing, education, and community can thrive. We believe that animals have the power to heal, and this project will inspire others to support both animal rescue and the pediatric stroke community.
