About the event

December Winter Wildlife Class With A.E.R.O.: Keeping Wildlife Alive - The First 24 Hours
The Fairfax County Animal Shelter is excited to welcome back the Animal Education and Rescue Organization (A.E.R.O.) for the Winter Wildlife Class Series. This free, five-part series runs monthly from October through February, with each class focusing on a different topic in wildlife education and rescue.

You may register for just one class or attend the full series. Each class requires individual registration. Attending all sessions will give you the most comprehensive understanding of wildlife rescue and care.

ABOUT THE DECEMBER CLASS:
When wildlife is injured or displaced, the first 24 hours are critical. Learn how to provide immediate care, including first aid, proper handling, and nutritional support to stabilize animals until they can be transferred to a rehabilitation center.

*Please note: this is not a class to teach about rehab. Long-term rehab is much different and this is no substitute for a licensed rehabber.*

📅 WHEN: Thursday, Dec. 4, 6:30 p.m.
📍 WHERE: Fairfax County Animal Shelter – Michael R. Frey Campus, 4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax, VA 22030
