La mostra esplora l’identità dell’artista come immigrato in Francia, dove, nonostante la fama mondiale, non ottenne mai la cittadinanza. Un percorso che unisce estetica e politica per raccontare come Picasso abbia rivoluzionato l’arte del Novecento vivendo la condizione di “straniero”. Più di 100 opere dell’artista, oltre a documenti, fotografie, lettere e video: un progetto che si arricchisce – per la terza tappa italiana – di un nucleo di opere inedite, selezionate dalla curatrice esclusivamente per il percorso espositivo di Palazzo Cipolla a Roma.
