Join us for a social read-through of The Whale by Samuel D. Hunter, our powerful September 2026 production, directed by Leigh Steedman.
This is a relaxed, friendly evening where we read the play aloud together and explore the story in a supportive, informal setting. You do not need to be thinking about auditioning to attend — many people come simply to enjoy the play and the company.
The Whale is a deeply moving contemporary drama about grief, forgiveness, faith and human connection. The story reached a global audience in the film adaptation starring Brendan Fraser, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2023 — a reflection of the play’s emotional power.
