Bomba Presents: LAUNCH PAD
Mission Control has cleared us for lift-off. On Wednesday, 28th January, doors open at 18:30, music runs from 19:00 - 22:45, at Exeter at Bomba. LAUNCH PAD, a new night dedicated to showcasing the brightest rising stars in the local live music scene.

Archtweaker is an alternative-rock band from Exeter, UK, known for fusing the raw edge of 2000s emo with the power of modern heavy rock. Formed in 2025 by L.J. Phelan, the group draws on influences such as Title Fight, Basement, and Foo Fighters.

BURNTDAYLIGHT are a fresh-sounding, 4-piece indie band hailing from Crediton and the surrounding villages.
The band features multi-instrumentalists Jamie on drums/vocals, Tom on lead guitar/piano, Zeph on lead guitar/bass guitar/sax and Joe on lead vocals/guitar/bass.
Meeting at Queen Elizabeth School in year 9, they were recently finalists in the Devon Secondary Schools Battle of the Bands and have won recording time with Studio 8830 to lay down some of their innovative original songs, to release in the Autumn.
Their song 'Ghost' was the piece that got them noticed in the final, and their most recent composition 'You Know' debuted at Sidmouth Seafest, another banger.
All their original music showcases their influences from bands such as the Arctic Monkeys, but in truth they are a real eclectic combination of Indie, Funk, Rock & Soul.
You won't be able to help being impressed by the maturity of the music of these Year 1 lads. Playing this summer at various festivals, the future of Indie is bright!---
Sekrement began life in November 2023 as a 3-piece cover band called No Reverb, a trio of musicians obsessed with the raw power of grunge. But what started as a tribute to the past quickly became a furious charge into the future. They changed their name and traded covers for their own crushing anthems, shedding their old skin to become something heavier and more visceral.
Now a 4-piece, the band consists of Dan (vocals and guitar), Huw (bass), George (lead guitar), and Melody (drums). From the heart of the English Riviera, they're not just another metal band from Torbay; they're the new sound of a generation, a sonic punch to the gut that leaves you breathless.
Their sound is a unique blend of Nu Metal, Grunge and Hip-Hop, a maelstrom of ferocious riffs and a rhythm section that hits like a tidal wave. Sekrement has gained a reputation for an "impressive and punchy presence on stage" (Torbay Weekly) that demands your attention. As recent finalists in the Devon Secondary Schools Battle of the Bands, they impressed the judges with their full-throttle cover of ""an in a Box"" by Alice in Chains.
