Event Overview
Location: Kirton Games, 86 High Street, Crediton, EX17 3LU
Dates/Times: Saturday 4th October 9:00 - 19:00
System - Warhammer 40,000 Matched Play
Army Size - 2x 1000pts (Played as Strike Force)
Missions - Missions & Deployments from the Chapter Approved 25/26 Tournament Pack have been drawn from the Mission Pool in the Chapter Approved Tournament Companion, they can be found in the event pack.
Number of Games - Three
Army selection - Each player in the team should select an individual legal force of up to 1000pts, otherwise following all Core Rules for Strike Force battle size games but with the following modifications for the Doubles format.
Players may not share points when selecting their individual forces.
The two forces may have different Faction Keywords. However, if they share the same Faction Keyword, Army Rules are applied to the combined team and not per force (effects are not duplicated). An individual force may have a unique Detachment Abilities, but the effects of these do not benefit the whole team.
The team may not contain more then three datasheets with the same name - or six units with the same datasheet name in the case of Battleline or Dedicated Transport units
Any unique units, Enhancements or similar items limited to one per army under normal circumstances may NOT be included more then once per team.
Both forces have a shared pool of Command Points.
Both forces must select a Warlord.
For the avoidance of doubt, your Detachment Rules, Warlord, unit strengths, optional upgrades, enhancements etc must all be recorded on your roster.
Army lists MUST be submitted by email in a text format to
c3RvcmUgfCBraXJ0b25nYW1lcyAhIGNvbQ== or via the Best Coast Pairings player app by Friday 29th August. Players will be deducted a 10 VP penalty from the results of their first game for failure to submit a valid list by the deadline.
Please also ensure you have at least one printed copy of your list on the day for your opponents.
Your Models -
Models MUST painted for this event to a table-top standard, sometimes referred to as Battle Ready. We expect that all areas of the model will be painted with some attempt at detailing – a model which has been primed only is not an acceptable standard.
All models MUST be fully assembled, WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) and correctly based to the current standard as supplied by Games Workshop.
Models should be based on the same size base as the currently produced kit from Games Workshop whenever possible, reasonable exceptions will be made where older models are being used and base sizes have changed. All bases should be painted as a minimum standard, and ideally textured.
Third-party models, including those which are 3D printed are acceptable where they are comparable to what they represent, and conversions encouraged as long as they meet all other criteria.
If you have any queries relating to these requirements, or need clarification on whether a model is acceptable, please contact us before the event. We reserve the right to ask you to remove a model/s from play if they do not meet these requirements, with the TOs decision final.
