ROC39 PORTUGAL FARM PLANNING MASTERCLASS

We first met Francisco Alves in 2019 when Joel Salatin and I led a masterclass at Son Felip (Menorca) that our friend Francesc Font Rovira (et.al.) organised. Since then he has been an active member of the Regrarians Workplace professional development network.

The much storied Montado and Dehesa landscapes of Iberia remain as a deep connection with the savanna's of the world that are largely the constructs of megafauna (humans included) and that over millennia have been gradually diminished by reductionist pastoralism and annual cropping systems.

And so it is only fitting that the epilogue of Regrarians 2025 tour should be at Herdade de São Luís as we honour the culture and traditions embedded in this enterprise, while seeking to contribute to its enhancement through this farm planning masterclass
