Dutch Painters - Light Shadow and Motifs : Drawing and Painting
In this course, we will explore elements of Dutch still life painting, focusing on rich dark backgrounds, harmonious compositions, symbolic details, and natural subjects. We’ll begin by sketching with coloured pencils, pastels, or oil pastels on dark paper, capturing the depth and contrast characteristic of the style.
These initial studies can then be developed into a finished acrylic painting or continue with studies as desired, allowing us to apply traditional techniques with a contemporary approach.

All 8 weeks work well as a course, but you can book a class individually as it will be a different exercise each time.
