The Veterans Supplemental Support Network (VSSN) hosts various events each year that provide valuable resources, foster community connections, and offer a fun and rewarding way for volunteers to get involved. Description:
Cars & a Movie provides a fun and relaxed environment where veterans and their families can enjoy a movie in a unique setting. Volunteers assist with event logistics, including parking, check-in, and concession management, helping ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Description:
This event focuses on engaging conversations surrounding healthcare topics important to veterans. Volunteers help with registration, guiding attendees, assisting with event setup, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. It’s a valuable opportunity to help raise awareness about healthcare needs in the veteran community.

Description:
The Daisy Walk Health Fair and Block Party combines wellness with celebration. Volunteers will assist with guiding participants along the walk, distributing wellness information, setting up booths, and helping coordinate the block party. This is a great chance to promote health and wellness in the veteran community while supporting a fun-filled day of activities.

Description:
Lawntopia is a community service day where volunteers participate in local projects, such as park beautification and helping veterans with home improvements. In the evening, the Volunteer Night brings everyone together for recognition and celebration. It’s a fulfilling way to give back while making a tangible difference in the community.

Volunteer Times: Flexible

Description:
Card for Vets invites volunteers to create heartfelt appreciation cards for veterans. These cards are then distributed to veterans at local events, showing gratitude and support for their service at local Dunkin Donut stores on Veterans Day. Volunteers will also assist with decorating and preparing dinner events for veterans, such as at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK). This is a wonderful opportunity to show your appreciation and make veterans feel valued.

Description:
The Toys for Heroes Drive provides gifts for the children of military families during the holiday season. Volunteers will help collect, sort, and distribute toys to ensure that every child in a military-connected family experiences the joy of the holidays. Your support will bring cheer to those who serve our country and their loved ones.

Dates: December 11th & 12th, 2025

Description:
Winter Wonderland is a festive event that gives back to military families by offering holiday giveaways, food, and entertainment. Volunteers will assist with organizing toy distributions, managing event logistics, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for veterans and their families. It’s an uplifting way to spread holiday cheer and give back to those who have served.
