Understanding Alzheimer's & Dementia

Join Jennifer Yonct from Penn State Extension, Mondays at 1pm at Muhlenberg Community Library to learn about Alzheimer's and other types of dementia.

This is a four week program designed for persons facing a diagnosis, caretakers, and anyone interested in learning more.

June 2, Alzheimer's disease: Healthy living for your brain and body. This program will provide you with hands-on tools to help incorporate recommendations for healthy aging into a plan.

June 9, Ten warning signs of Alzheimer's dementia. Learn to recognize common signs of the disease to watch for in yourself and others.

June 16, Understanding Alzheimer's and dementia. Explore the relationship between Alzheimer's disease and dementia, learn the risk factors, stages and the effect on the brain.

June 23, Dementia conversations.

These programs are geared to adults, 18 and older. Free. No registration. #HealthLiteracy
