Rediscover the Unforgettable in Brevard: Pink Beds Hike

Mellow isn't a word used to describe many hikes in the Pisgah National Forest, but it's certainly appropriate when it comes to Pink Beds. And the lack of punishing climbing and descending doesn't mean you sacrifice scenery. A 5-mile trail spends much of its time navigating a rare mountain bog, elevated in the swampy parts by strategically placed boardwalk. The highland bog is home to a variety of rare plants and insects, making it a great option for nature lovers.
