Explore the playroom of art and scrap materials, rummage for shiny things to make your own treasure box, get junk modelling to make your own pirate ship or even create your very own parrot to perch on your shoulder!
We will provide an abundance of scrap materials for you to explore and give you any guidance and support you need to bring your ideas to life! Make as many different creations as you want and you can take them all home.
What’s included:
A number of stations including a variety of materials to create anything pirate-themed: perhaps you’ll make a pirate ship, pirate costume, treasure box, or even parrot!
An abundance of scrap materials provided to bring your ideas alive.

Sessions are child-led with materials, prompts, and guidance
The themes of our sessions are a starting point for your child’s creativity. The Playroom is full of resources and is a space to explore ideas. Your child may choose to do something different which is fine by us!
This session is aimed at 5-10yr olds but younger siblings are welcome with supervision.
Please be aware that we will be using small parts, scissors and cool melt glue guns.
Older children are welcome too.
All bookings include one-day membership to the Scrapstore Warehouse, where you can collect up to a basket of scrap for a donation of £6 (less if the basket isn't full).
Children's Scrapstore is a local charity dedicated to making waste things play things. We work with sustainable resources that have been donated rather than going into landfill.
Our focus is on play and creativity, sessions are child-led. We won't dictate what your child does. We just provide some materials, prompts and guidance for them to explore the materials as they wish.
