James McLaughlin / Garrett Josiah Moore

Two Lancaster musicians in one evening!

James McLaughlin is a singer/songwriter based in Lancaster. His lyrical content varies from grapples with faith and doubt and the struggles of existence in the age of identity, to his more recent "family songs" focused on marriage and fatherhood. In 2022 McLaughlin released his first studio album, Grasmere, 1860, featuring lyrics gleaned from historic poetry with music that incorporates folk sensibilities, classical influence and dissonant strain to accomplish a truly unique but thoughtful sound. McLaughlin draws from a history to travel, poverty, heart break, but also the vast searching of religious questions to create music whose goal is to build deep connections between its listeners.

Garrett Josiah Moore is a visual artist and musician living in Lancaster County, PA with his wife, son, and daughter. He loves making discoveries alongside his neighbors through regular creative sessions and building instrumental journeys on stage. What's a house concert? Neighbors, music aficionados, and friends (old & new) join to create a comfy, respectful listening atmosphere. Suggested donation is $10-20/person or $40/family if you can, but Music on the Map is always pay-what-you-will with all donations directly supporting the musical artist. Please don't let a dollar amount stop you from coming.

The address (in Northeast Lancaster City) & parking instructions will be sent to attendees prior to the concert.

Concert starts at 7:00pm with an optional full potluck starting at 6:00pm.Early arrivals get the best seats, since space is limited. Please reserve a seat for each guest, and contact the organizer directly with questions/concerns.
