Glen Carron North Weekend

On Saturday we’ll be heading for Beinn Liath Mhòr and Sgòrr Ruadh, a superb circuit forming a horseshoe around Coire Lair. This is an impressive amphitheatre charactherised by the soaring sandstone cliffs of Sgòrr Ruadh and the imposing sentinel of the Corbett - Fuar Tholl.

Sunday is the shorter of the two days and will take us to the sandstone capped summit of the aptly named ‘bald red head’ - Maol Chean-dearg. This shapely hill, according to the SMC Guidebook is one of the best single Munro outings you can get. The panoramic views from the top are certainly worth the effort!
