Carl Marah is a modern songsmith whose timeless sound, evocative voice, and cinematic storytelling echo the poetic depth of Dylan, the melodic warmth of Paul Simon, and the haunting mystique of Rodriguez. His music feels like it was found in the dust of an old record shop - weathered, timeless, and humming with heartfelt truths. An Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter, Marah walks the line between past and present, his melodies stretching across decades, his voice conveying the memories and stories of life’s lessons and observations.

Marah has long been a driving force in the Edinburgh music scene, co-fronting psychedelic pop outfit Logan’s Close. Now in addition, he is stepping out into the solo spotlight, showcasing his wealth of original material, each song a flickering film reel of images conjured in the mind’s eye.

His latest release, Siren Song, is a fever dream set to music - with the kind of Lynchian drama where reality blurs at the edges, where the familiar becomes strange, and where beauty and danger waltz in slow motion. His voice oscillates between tender vulnerability and a subtle, underlying intensity, drawing listeners into a soundscape that is as mysterious as it is captivating. This nuanced vocal performance complements the song's themes, creating an atmosphere that lingers long after the final note.

In early 2025, following the release of Siren Song, Marah set out across the UK, performing as North as Ullapool and as South as London, and visiting almost everywhere in between. Each performance was a communion - his voice reverberating through dimly lit venues, weaving songs of love, life, and nostalgia, ultimately converting listeners to his musical cause.
