Join Us for the First Annual “Cornhole for a Cause” – A Night of Fun, Community, and Giving Back!
We’re excited to announce the First Annual “Cornhole for a Cause” tournament, happening on Friday, September 12th at 5:30 p.m. This fun-filled evening will take place on the eve of the Special Olympics Area 10 Cornhole Sectional, which is set for Saturday, September 13th.
Cornhole for a Cause is more than just a game—it’s an opportunity for the community to come together in support of an incredible mission. This event is open to the public and welcomes players of all skill levels to participate. Whether you're a seasoned cornhole competitor or just looking for a fun way to kick off the weekend, we invite you to join us!
All proceeds from the event will go directly toward supporting local Special Olympians, helping provide access to sports training, equipment, and competition opportunities. Your participation helps empower athletes with intellectual disabilities to discover new strengths, abilities, and friendships through the power of sport.
The event will take place under the lights and on the turf of Goebel Soccer Complex Field #2.
Come toss some bags, cheer on your neighbors, and be part of something truly meaningful. Let’s make this first annual event a huge success—and have a great time doing it!
Cornhole for a Cause is being hosted in partnership with Explore Evansville, Evansville Sports Complex and Special Olympics Area 10.

PRIZES
First Place - $500
Second Place - $250
Third Place - $100
FORMAT
• Two Player Teams
• Double Elimination Format (Single Game Matches)
SCORING
• Bag on Board = 1 point / Bag in Hole = 3 points
• First Team to 21 points or more wins the Game
• A score of 13 or more to zero is considered a skunk
• Team that scored last goes first in the next inning
