Alyssa Allgood Quintet: Live at Studio5

Named a Rising Star Female Vocalist in the 2024 and 2025 Downbeat Magazine Critics Poll and voted Best Individual Jazz Musician in the 2024 Chicago Reader Poll, Alyssa Allgood has burnished her image in Chicago and beyond. There’s deep sophistication here: She’s musically fierce and confident while somehow remaining honest and vulnerable. Alyssa is not only a wonderful stylist with a strong ability to both interpret and improvise, she has also developed into a genuine composer, writing and delivering songs with melodic, harmonic and lyrical depth. It’s always a treat to have Alyssa join us at Studio5. We really look forward to what new musical delights she and her extraordinary band will serve us. Oh! And it’s Halloween! Costumes not required … but there may be a spooky tune or two.
