Raíces: Live at Studio5

This being Raíces' third November appearance at Studio5, I hope it qualifies as a tradition! We love welcoming this group's juicy blend of Latin jazz back to our stage. Founded by Rubin Alvarez (his birthday is in November, BTW) and now led by vibraphonist Joe Sonnefeldt, Raíces' sound is reflective, in no small part, of the music of the great Cal Tjader’s groups in the 1950s and 60s. It's delightfully retro and modern at the same time with their infectious sound. Come join us for another funky, groovy evening!
