West End Blues: Classic Jazz Covers

Oregon Festival of American Music 2025 continues on Thursday August 7 at 1:30 pm in The Shedd in Eugene with WEST END BLUES: Classic Jazz Covers.

The concert is repeated on Saturday August 16 at 7:30 pm.

Chuck Redd and company, joined by vocalists Siri Vik and Michael Stone, explore important, transformational jazz performances: Louis Armstrong’s renowned cover of King Oliver’s “West End Blues”, Ella Fitzgerald and Goodman’s “Goodnight My Love”, Lionel Hampton’s “Star Dust”, Nat Cole’s “Sweet Georgia Brown”, Jack Teagarden’s “I Got A Right To Sing The Blues”, Coleman Hawkins’ “Body And Soul”, Billy Eckstine’s “Everything I Have Is Yours”, Billie Holiday’s “Them There Eyes”, Frank Sinatra’s “Please Be Kind” and more.
