Brohemia After Dark brings together again Ran Andreini and Bill Shreve who first began their musical journeys in 1967. The pair, Ran on piano and Bill on upright bass, played together throughout High School and into college. In College they formed the Chico Al Bachs Sextet and played original jazz in the SF Bay Area.
In the years that followed Ran played professionally in the SF Bay Area and has performed with Steve Miller, Pete and Coke Escovedo, Bill Watrous, The Full Faith and Credit Big Band and many others.
Bill formed and fronted many bands in SF area in the 70’s and 80’s, eventually forming a duo with his wife Laurie, they toured for many years before settling in Eugene Oregon. Eventually taking different paths and over 50 years later Ran and Bill are back together with Ken Luker and Hank Shreve.
Ken Luker originally from Portland Oregon and living in Eugene since 2008, has been playing guitar and singing since he was six years old. Ken’s musical styles include Hawaiian, Classic Jazz, Acoustic Folk, Blues and Rock and Roll. He has been the guitar player for the Hank Shreve Band since 2015.
Hank Shreve began playing harmonica at the age of 8 and drums at 10 and has established himself as a major harmonica talent on the blues scene in the Pacific Northwest. Not known by all, but Hank is an experienced jazz drummer having studied drums through high school and on into college.
