Sleep is the foundation of our health, however we have never been taught how to prioritize sleep or how to sustain a good sleep. And once our sleep gets damaged, everything else gets impacted, from physical, mental and emotional wellbeing to relationships and capabilities, and sometimes even health.
When dealing with burn-out, people often experience a difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep. And in some cases, the sleep patterns may become extremely disturbed causing people to be unable to sleep during the night, as opposed during the day.
If your relationship with sleep is complicated, this workshop on sleep is for you, especially if:
- Waking up in the morning is (very) difficult - sometimes a real struggle, and you need various stimulants (e.g. countless cups of coffee or energy drinks) to be able just to cope with the day
- Instead of falling asleep, you lie fully awake in bed, while your brain races on and on with thoughts, your body feels tense. Ultimately sleep gets delayed, sometimes even for hours
- You wake up many times during the night, you seem to have a light sleep, and quite often you may not even be able to go back to sleep
What to expect?
✅ Sleep science fundamentals presented in an accessible way
✅ Learning about good sleep practices that sustain a sleep hygiene, without using technology
✅ Relaxation exercices
✅ Individual exercices prompting to reflection and group exercises
✅ An overall friendly and playful atmosphere
For the interested participants, in order to support change, a follow-up session can be organised online.

About the facilitator: Gabriela Doicaru-Spencer is a professional certified coach and wellbeing trainer and facilitator. She supports expat professionals integrate wellbeing into their personal or professional life, by using 1:1 coaching, engaging wellbeing sessions, and something more unusual - the practice of the intentional laughter, through laughter yoga.
As a facilitator and trainer, besides knowledge and body-orientated approached, she bring participatory leadership, serious framed games and collective inteligence.
Gabriela is a member of Madame Papillon organisation whose aim is to bring support to women recovering from a burn-out. The Madame Papillon vision is of resilient women* living in balance after burnout.
