From the porch of 'JJ Cale', to the swamp of 'Tony Joe White', via the current bluesy vibes of 'The Black Keys' and 'Kings of Leon' mixed with Pete's quintessentially Australian songwriting, this band delivers.
Incisive, thoughtfully structured and always rhythmically 'on point'.
The Rhythm Riders explore a variety of melodic and dynamic possibilities, delivered with commitment, passion and humour. Driven by freight train percussion (Phil King), uniquely inventive bass (Matt Butler), valve toned guitars and harmonica, overlayed with that jazz tinged, versatile voice.
Add to the mix, storytelling, random poetry, an irrepressible sense of humour and you have captivating performance art!!
