Join us for this 2-day workshop exploring improvisational clown with guest artist Michael Galligan. Michael is a playwright, performer, and teaching artist based in Brooklyn and the Adirondacks.

Clown is a form of theater training that places physical expression over words, honesty over wit, and being brave over being funny. In this workshop, unlock your vulnerability, silliness, and courage onstage in pursuit of creating a 5-minute solo act.

Saturday will focus on games, ensemble building, and playing at the “speed of fun.” On Sunday, we will deepen our connection to that material, shaping it into a performable piece. No prior comedy, theater, or clown experience required.
