Have you ever thought how far back in time the history of species dates to? How has the biodiversity of our planet evolved?
With the help of the audio walk, you can travel back in time to explore the origins of squirrels, pines or dragonies and other species familiar to us. The audio tracks serve as an introduction to animal and plant biology, evolution and interaction between species, mixing them with exercises that engage with listeners embodied imagination.
The nature trail is about 800m long and is accessible. To listen to the trail, you will need a phone to scan the QR codes. We recommend using your own headphones or borrowing a pair from the Nature House Info Desk, where you can also find a map of the audio nature trail.
The tracks are listened from past to present, starting with track 1: Fossils and ending with track 10: Present time. But you can also listen to only part of the tracks. The total duration of the audio tracks is about 32 minutes. You can listen to the tracks in either Finnish or English.
