Operation Somerset Plain

101st 2nd brigade is hereby ordered to assist 101st 1st brigade at firebase Birmingham for joint operation "Somerset Plain" on 15 August-
Intel reports a large main force NVA battalion and PAVN throughout the region.
LRRPs have been assembled with purpose to lay delayed fuse mines to the west while sweeping and setting sensors to impede troop and arty moving through that zone, while main forces are to perform joint operations with ARVN special forces to sweep the valley and interdict supply routes through the region.
Immediate assembly is paramount and troop movement to begin post-haste. At this time leave and liberty are cancelled for those alloted.
