Wander through nine unique historic buildings, including:
🏫 Esko’s first one-room schoolhouse (1897)
🧖♀️ An authentic Finnish Savu Sauna
🏡 The Kangas Family Log Home (1898)
🚜 A vintage 1938 Cat Snowplow & Esko’s first firetruck (1949)
🐎 A horse-drawn school bus and more!
Learn about the pioneering families of Thomson Township and explore exhibits that span 150 years of community life—from farming and education to fire fighting and Finnish heritage.
📚 Our collection includes rare photos, documents, and published histories like Esko’s Corner and Thomson Township’s Night of Terror, recounting the devastating fire of 1918.
🕵️♀️ Curious about your family’s roots? Archives are available for research by appointment.
💬 Want to get more involved? Our society meets every third Thursday (4–5 p.m.) at the Thomson Town Hall, followed by a friendly social gathering. New members are always welcome!
