The Gathering Quartet, is a dynamic new European folk quartet who use traditional string music to strengthen connection between their countries of Ukraine, Scotland, England and Sweden.

With the increasing pressures on communities across Europe, The Gathering Quartet brings together four highly regarded traditional musicians from four European nations who want to use their musical connections to transcend cultural and political boundaries. Aiming to inspire cross-cultural connection between themselves and their audiences, they explore their roots by experimenting with sensitive arrangements of traditional tunes and their own compositions. They prioritise performing in resonant and inspiring venues which allow them to perform purely acoustic, and help amplify the soul and the magic of live music performance in an intimate setting.
Travelling from their various countries, this group have a very rare chance once again to meet this August in the Scottish Borders. This performance is a one-off opportunity to see them perform.
