Hidden City Sounds Series: Mercedes Moore Band & Free Pre-Show Swing Dance Class

Winner of the 2024 San Diego Music Award for “Best Jazz Artist” and eight time SDMA nominee for “Best Blues Artist” Mercedes Moore brings a unique blend of ’50s/60’s Swingin’ Soul/Blues to the stage. With her background in Lindy Hop and Swing dancing her set list is designed to be up-beat and energetic with an emphasis on rhythms suitable for both partner dancing and freestyle solo fun. From Little Richard to Little Walter, from Etta James to James Brown!

Mercedes will be hosting a free swing dance class in the Lyric Courtyard prior to her performance.
Dance Instruction: 7:00 pm -7:45 pm
Mercedes Moore Band: 8:00 pm – 9:15 pm
