When Danish filmmaker Lea Glob first films Apolonia Sokol in 2009, she appears to be living a fairy tale life. The talented artist was born in an underground theater in Paris and grew up in an artist community before studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Over the years, Lea Glob continued to film the charismatic Apolonia, and a special bond developed between the two young women.

With this first solo documentary, Lea Glob demonstrates a clear talent for capturing the intimacy of a woman, her personal quest, and her work as an artist, which are sometimes inseparable. The filmmaker forms a unique and moving connection with her subject, allowing us to approach Apolonia Sokol in a truly distinctive way.
