ULSID Potluck Picnic, Annual Meeting & Sandhill Watershed Update

Hello Everyone!

Please join us this Friday, August 22 at 5:00 P.M. for a Potluck BBQ followed by the Union Lake Sarah Annual Board Meeting.

This year, we will meet at a new location: the Red Barn across from the Union Lake Sarah Campground.

5:00 P.M. - ULSID Potluck BBQ (We'll bring the BBQ and beverage. Please bring a dish!)

6:00 P.M. - ULSID Annual Board Meeting which will include a presentation from the MN DNR on the permitting restrictions related to the pump on Union Lake, as well as presentations from several other invited guests.

7:30 P.M. - The Sand Hill River Watershed District (SHRWD) Board of Managers will hold a hearing on the manager-initiated benefits determination for Watershed Project No. 27 – Union Lake and Lake Sarah Outlet.

Why? Landowners brought to the watershed district’s attention that there were inconsistencies and/or inequitable assessments for the current benefit roll relating to the Union Lake and Lake Sarah Outlet (the pump). The benefit roll is a list of landowners who pay assessments toward the project because they receive benefits from the pump.
