Thrill of the Grill BBQ Contest

Fire up your grills and get ready to cook some barbecue! We are having a barbecue contest hosted at The Deuce Bar & Grill in Erskine on September 20th. Bring your grills downtown by 11 AM - sign in- and get started cooking! There will be four categories and judging will be as follows:
1pm - Chicken with two sides – one hot side, and one cold side.
2pm - Ribs
3pm - Pork Roast
5pm - Brisket
As each time approaches, the Grill Masters will prepare individual samples for the judges and present them one at a time at the judging table. Please also have small portion containers to serve the public, as there will be a fan favorite vote taken.
Please make sure to follow safe food handling practices. Obviously some types of meat cook faster than others, which is why they are placed in this order. Also, we understand that for some things like brisket you may actually have to start it at home and finish it on the grill.
