Cristos Coffee will host ColorShift: A Community Art Exhibit Celebrating the Changing Seasons from September 6 2025 through January 31 2026. Featuring four local Colorado artists—Kristi Arzola Laura Oakley Abbey Giedraitis and Steven Glime—this rotating exhibit invites the community to experience a vibrant journey through color as the seasons shift from autumn to winter.
The public is warmly invited to the Opening Reception on Saturday September 6th from 5:30–7:30 PM at Cristos Coffee located at 149 S. Briggs St Erie CO 80516. Guests can meet the artists enjoy light refreshments and explore the artwork on display.
ColorShift unfolds in two distinct phases:
September through mid-November features artwork inspired by the warm colors of autumn—think fiery reds golden yellows and burnt oranges.
Mid-November through January transitions to art that captures the cool tones of winter with calming blues greens and purples.
Each artist brings a unique perspective to the theme:
Kristi Arzola presents a bold African animal series inspired by sunrise light for the fall display and a humorous farm animal series for the winter months sprinkled throughout with her signature miniature landscapes and florals.
Laura Oakley explores glowing desert dreamscapes and whimsical underwater worlds in rich seasonal palettes.
Abbey Giedraitis offers nature-inspired pieces that evoke wonder and harmony through unconventional color and expressive form.
Steven Glime (aka Steven Arthur) captures landscapes cloudscapes and soulful animal portraits that reflect the quiet beauty of everyday moments.
Whether you're a local art lover coffee enthusiast or simply looking for a fresh creative experience ColorShift offers an inspiring seasonal escape right in the heart of Erie.
