Join the Penn State Master Gardeners of Cumberland County for the Cold Start, Early Bloom: Winter Seed Sowing program on Saturday, October 4, 11am-12pm, outdoors at the Adams Ricci Butterfly Garden near the Midway Pavilion at Adams Ricci Park located at 100 E. Penn Drive, Enola, PA 17025.
Discover an easy and economical way to expand your perennial garden by starting seeds in plastic containers and allowing them to overwinter outdoors. This hands-on session will cover seed selection, soil, containers, sowing techniques, and transplant care, with the added opportunity to harvest seeds from the Butterfly Garden to take home. All supplies will be provided.
