Crochet 101

Limited to 6 students, 2 student minimum
Pre-registration required.
No experience needed.
Materials: Yarn and hook (All Supplies Included)
Class Objectives:
Introduce the basics of crochet.
Familiarize participants with essential tools and materials.
Teach foundational stitches to create a small practice swatch.
Getting Started
How to hold a crochet hook and yarn comfortably.
Demonstrate the slip knot and chain stitch (foundation for all crochet projects).
Provide hands-on practice with guidance.
Learning Basic Stitches
Single Crochet (SC): Step-by-step demonstration and student practice.
Turning Chain: Explanation and practice.
Troubleshooting common issues (tight/loose tension, missed stitches).
Students will practice chaining and single crochet rows to create a small swatch.
Provide individual support as needed.
Address student questions or challenges.
Share tips for practicing at home.
Takeaways for Students:
