Join us for Coffee & Conservation, a free monthly event series hosted by SUP Englewood at the Englewood Chamber of Commerce. This month we’re excited to welcome Kate Rose of the Florida Sea Grant - Charlotte County Extension Office.
Topic: This timely educational talk will be led by Katherine “Kate” Rose, UF/IFAS Florida Sea Grant Extension Agent for Charlotte County. The program will unpack one of Florida’s most well-known environmental concerns, red tide. Kate will address commonly asked questions about these blooms, including what causes them, how they affect wildlife and human health, and what management and mitigation strategies are underway across Florida.
This is a great opportunity for nature lovers, paddlers, and families to connect, learn. Kate is offering tools to help residents and visitors better understand and respond to these events.
☕ Enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries crafted by The Dearborn Coffeehouse & Bakery.
💙 Suggested donation: $5–$10 to support local conservation efforts.
📆 Held the third Tuesday of every month at 9 AM.
🎟️ RSVP required – space is limited!
