The project, Gilded Poems, is a collaboration between poet Anthony Fisher, artist Giovanna Iorio and video creator Colin Russell.
Anthony’s concept was to mix recordings of his poems with music and sometimes sound effects. Giovanna used the audio tracks to create her glorious Voice Portraits. Colin then combined the two to create videos with movement in the case of Gilded Poems 1, and graphic design and effects for Gilded poems 2.
As well Anthony, actors Holly Darville, Paul Croft and Charles Bassett recorded some of the poems.
Anthony said:
“I wanted to create a world in which, words, voice, music and images enhanced and supported each other. In addition I wanted a project where poetry could be heard, and visualised, to create something beautiful."
This collaboration is part of the Enfield Poets Literary Festival
