Active Disability Ireland Conference 2025

Active Disability Ireland will host the National Annual Conference on Wednesday, December 3rd at the Johnstown Estate in Co. Meath, marking International Day for Persons with Disabilities. The day will host important conversations around disability in sport and physical activity, focusing on the theme of this year’s conference; “Influencing and Challenging”. 

Key voices in sport and disability will join us on the day, including:  

• Panel Discussion: Adam Harris (CEO, AsIAm) and Geraldine McTavish (Disability in Sport Lead, Sport Ireland) will join us for a discussion centered on driving real change across Ireland’s sporting landscape through a systemic approach.  

• Keynote Speaker: Jay Lusted is a Welsh actor, presenter, and disability advocate who has built a career in the public eye and continues to challenge perceptions of disability through his work and platform. 

• Unscripted Conversations: Rob Hartnett (Sport for Business) will join us on stage to meet three surprise guests live, for a candid and unscripted conversation to uncover their stories.
