A Time of Change - Local History walk at Forty Hall

In 1951, due to ill health, Derek Parker Bowles decided to sell Forty Hall to Enfield Council, leading to its transformation from a private estate into a public park.

This informal walk around the pleasure grounds draws on interviews with Andrew and Simon Parker Bowles and oral histories researched by Laura Godfrey.

Join us for an intriguing walk that brings to life the memories of those connected with Forty Hall Estate during the mid-decades of the last century.
