Trader Joe’s continues to reject our requests for it to cut ties with Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry which it sells under the branding of “Trader Joe’s Organic, Free Range Chicken” with Petaluma Poultry’s plant code of 2882. Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry slaughterhouse and network of factory farms have been shown to violate California’s animal cruelty laws regarding unnecessary suffering related to things like imobile chickens unable to walk to food or water and even chickens being boiled alive when they miss the throat blade on the slaughterline - as the next step is entering the scalding bath, a tortuous fate for anyone who is fully conscious.
Please join us Wednesday, 11/26 from 9am to 10:30am as we protest Trader Joe’s CEO Bryan Palbaum’s Encino, CA home from 300 ft away in accordance with local laws, continuing our calls for the grocery giant to cut ties with Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry. This is part of day three of three straight days of protesting.
