Let’s Break the Stigma and Embrace Our Gifts
Are you a woman who has been diagnosed with autism, is newly exploring the possibility, or simply resonates with being neurodivergent? You’re not alone—and you belong here.
The Spectrum Sisterhood is a growing support and connection space for women who see the world through unique eyes. Many of us experience emotional overwhelm, sensory sensitivity, or have spent years masking just to get by. This group is here to break the stigma, normalize the experience of autism in women, and uplift the strengths that come with it.
We’ll gather in a safe, welcoming space to share, reflect, and support one another—no pressure, no expectations. Sharing is encouraged, but never required. Come exactly as you are and share only what feels right.
This meetup is geared toward individuals who identify with Level 1 autism support needs. This means you may experience challenges with things like social communication, sensory sensitivity, executive functioning, or managing change — but generally do not require daily support to navigate life. You might find social situations draining, need recovery time after interactions, or struggle with routines and overwhelm, even if it’s not always visible to others.
We recognize that every autistic person is different, and support needs can vary day to day.
We also want to be clear that we do not use terms like “high functioning” or “low functioning.” These labels are misleading and don’t reflect the real, nuanced experiences of autistic people. All ways of being are valid, and you're welcome here just as you are.
Spectrum Sisterhood began as a space just for autistic women, and that focus has felt so nourishing and powerful. 💜 At the same time, I’ve been feeling called to gently experiment with opening the circle wider, since many of our experiences overlap with others in the neurodivergent community.
So for this Sunday’s gathering, I’m opening our doors to women who identify with autism, ADHD, ADD, or other forms of neurodivergence. 🌈
We’ll share stories, laughter, and connection in a space where none of us have to mask or explain ourselves. Together, we’ll explore what it feels like to widen the circle and see how it flows.
What is Neurodivergence?
Neurodivergence is a term that describes the natural variations in how people’s brains work, process information, and experience the world. 🌈
It was coined to highlight that there’s no single “normal” brain—just different ways of thinking, learning, and being.
Examples of neurodivergence include:
Some people also consider things like anxiety, OCD, or PTSD as forms of neurodivergence, since they shift how the brain processes and interacts with the world.
✨ The opposite term is neurotypical, meaning brains that fit more easily into society’s “standard” expectations.
So in simple words:
Neurodivergence = different ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world.
Being neurodivergent doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with us—it means our minds are wired for different kinds of creativity, sensitivity, and insight. In Spectrum Sisterhood, we celebrate these differences as strengths and sources of connection. 💜
🌿 You are seen. You are understood. You belong.
📍 Join us this Sunday and let’s grow our Sisterhood, together.
Each Meetup Includes:
• Time to settle in as guests arrive
• A warm introduction to The Spectrum Sisterhood
• Brief guest intros + intention setting
• Question of the day to inspire connection and support
• Longer shares with each sister getting to pick if they just want to be heard, would like to be held accountable for something, or if you would like advice. Sharing is optional.
• We'll wrap up around 4pm with the option to stay after to chat further with your new friends!

Laura currently teaches at a women’s addiction recovery center and mental health facility in North County San Diego, where she brings a trauma-informed, heart-centered approach to healing. Her passion is helping women reconnect with the essence of their soul — beyond trauma, beyond labels — and guiding them toward their innate wholeness. As well as in her business at Mindbloom Wellness. Visit website here.
In addition to her yoga work, Laura is a Sekhem Reiki Master, offering Reiki energy healing sessions and spiritual support. She also leads breathwork ceremonies, facilitates women’s retreats, and handcrafts custom malas with deep intentionality and care.
At the age of 37, Laura was diagnosed with autism — a discovery that reshaped her self-understanding and deepened her work. She now devotes part of her practice to supporting other late-identified neurodivergent individuals, especially women who have long felt "different" without knowing why. Through research, lived experience, and connection, she helps others find clarity, empowerment, and peace.
