CHS CLASS OF 1980 (and friends) 45th ANNIVERSARY PARTY WEEKEND

What's better than spending one night with your former classmates? How about three events over three days? It's been four years since we've shared ol' stories and lots of lies about our days at Catoctin High.Come and join the fun, Aug. 1-3, as we reminisce, catch up on our lives and remember those who are no longer with us.The planning committee has three events planned. If your schedule permits, we hope you will attend all three. If that doesn't work for you, how about joining us for one?

Friday, Aug. 1 // The opening actAn evening at the Springfield Manor Winery & Brewery. We will start to gather at 6 p.m. The winery hosts trivia on Fridays at 7 p.m., so you can join in that fun or relax and catch up with ol' friends. Beware that the winery does not allow visitors to bring their own food or drink. Bring a lawn/camping chair and join us! Address: 11836 Auburn Road, Thurmont (it's visible from U.S. 15 South, a few miles outside of the Thurmont town limits).

Saturday, Aug. 2 // The main actTime for dinner, dancing and socializing as we gather at the Vigilant Fire Company's Auxiliary Building at 6 p.m. Dinner will be catered by the Carriage House at 6:45 p.m. After a moment of silence for our departed classmates at 7:45 p.m., we'll dance to the music of DJ Fire until 10 p.m. The cost is $45/person or $85 per couple.Dinner menu: Thinly sliced Top Round of Beef with Mushroom Madeira, Grilled Chicken Breast w/ Caramelized Pearl Onions and Heirloom Tomato Relish, Mashed Potatoes, Sauteed Zucchini and Squash with tomatoes, Garden Salad with side of house vinaigrette & ranch dressing, Rolls & Butter, A variety of cake for dessertWe'll also provide water. .Sunday, Aug. 3 // The final actBring your lawn/camping chairs and meet us at the Thurmont Community Park, from noon until 3 p.m. Bring your picnic and join us for a game of corn hole as we gather again before we say goodbye until our 50th reunion weekend in 2030.Address: 19 Frederick Road, ThurmontQuestions?
