Theatre Games & Improv Workshop

Drawing on the fundamental concept of “Yes, And” in improvisation, in both group exercises and games we will explore impulse & spontaneity, taking risks, finding agreement and other building blocks of improvisation, all in a supportive environment that embraces the idea of trusting yourself and your scene partner.

MELISA KLAUSNER studied for two years with Paul Sills, co-founder of The Second City Theatre and son of Viola Spolin, who created and developed a system of actor training that evolved to become the modern art form of improvisation. Melisa graduated from the New Actors Workshop Conservatory where she studied with founders Paul Sills, George Morrison and legendary stage and film director, Mike Nichols. She has performed on Broadway and in the National tour of Les Miserables, as well as Off-Broadway and regionally across the country.
