Soham Town Rangers Football Club is proud to announce its first-ever Ladies Day event, a celebration dedicated to promoting and supporting girls’ and women’s football.
The event will take place on Sunday 14th September, showcasing the club’s passion and commitment to helping females on their football journey.
The day will feature two exciting fixtures:
• 11:00am - Soham Town Rangers Women Reserves vs Cambridge Rangers Reserves
• 2:00pm - Soham Town Rangers Women First Team vs Godmanchester Rovers
In between matches, all children in attendance will be invited onto the pitch to take part in fun, football-themed activities, ensuring the day is not only competitive but also inclusive and family-friendly.
To further encourage participation, Soham Town Rangers are inviting all local girls’ and women’s teams to attend free of charge, giving young players the chance to be inspired by the women representing the club at senior level.
As part of the day, the club will also be supporting the Charity Partner Just George, with a donation pot available for those who wish to contribute.
This landmark event comes after a season of incredible progress for women’s football at Soham Town Rangers.
At the start of last season, the club proudly launched its first-ever Women’s side, who went on to achieve promotion by finishing as runners-up in Division Two.
This season marks another milestone, as the team prepares to enter the FA Women’s Cup for the very first time.
The growth of female football at Soham has also seen the former U17 Girls side transition into senior football, becoming the club’s new Reserves team - A reflection of the growing interest and opportunities for women in the game.
