Celebrate the beauty of autumn with a cosy, hands-on evening of crafting at The Yard by Silver Oak in Ely.
In this workshop, you’ll create your very own fabric garland in rich, autumnal colours using a selection of recycled and reclaimed fabrics and ribbons. Finished garlands will be approximately 1 metre in length, perfect for decorating mantels, shelves, or windows. Start by rummaging through our baskets of pre-loved fabrics to build your ideal colour palette. Then learn how to tear, cut, and tie your fabric strips to form a full and textured garland.
To make it your own, you’ll have the option to add extra decorative touches like wool pom poms, mini pumpkin strings and felt leaves.
Finally, personalise your piece with a small felt bunting, choosing your own wording and cutting the letters from felt to complete your garland in a style that’s truly yours. Will yours be a ‘Welcome’, ‘Gather’ or simply ‘Cosy’?
