River Fest Kickoff! Guided River Paddle: Bottcher's Landing to Grove Street

Join expert paddler Jim Pfiffer as we kick off River Fest with a guided educational paddle of the Chemung River. As we paddle from Bottcher's Landing Boat Launch in Big Flats, NY, to Grove Street Boat Launch in Elmira, we'll visit the Elmira Civil War Camp along the way for a short tour and educational component to our paddle.

The price includes the tour and the kayak rental (if you need one, we have a very limited number of kayaks available). We will meet at Grove Street Boat Launch at 9AM to load kayaks onto the trailer, go over river safety guidelines, then we'll shuttle paddlers to Bottcher's Landing to launch our watercraft.

Please dress for the weather and wear water shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a life jacket if you have one (life jackets will be required we will have life jackets available if you don't have one). A water bottle and snacks are also recommended.
