POETRY IN MOTION - A Prelude to the Starz

Join us for an unforgettable evening of poetry, music, and dance in support of Laurence Elder and Sandra Tomas Roig Ryder as they prepare for the Tioga Dancing United With the Starz competition on November 8th. This special fundraiser blends high-caliber performances from renowned local artists with heartfelt contributions from community members, creating a night of culture and connection. Guests will enjoy a rich program of entertainment while also having opportunities to give back through raffles, auctions, and direct donations.

All proceeds benefit Tioga United Way, which distributes vital support to organizations such as the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club, Kali’s KlubHouse, Owego Little League, Berkshire Senior Citizens, Spencer Van Etten Food Cupboard, and many more. Your attendance not only strengthens these programs, but also helps Team Laurence and Sandra reach their fundraising goal and compete for the coveted People’s Choice Award. With Laurence’s artistry as a music professor at Binghamton University and Sandra’s passion as the owner of a vibrant Elmira dance school, the pair is ready to inspire on stage—and dance their hearts out for a cause that uplifts the entire community.
